How to Use LinkedIn to Boost Engagement

Non-generic tips for improving the home feed

Hey, it is now Tuesday 18th April. Can you give me some tips for using LinkedIn that is not just generic advice? I know that i need to interact with other people through through helpful comments and likes, however when I scroll through my feed, all I see is people self congratulating a new certificate or opening of an office. I used to work in the mining sector, so a lot of my connections are in that field, which is not related to my calmGCP business. I want to be able to comment on GCP, Terraform and DevOps things, as well as front-end development. How can I get these things into my feed?

To tailor your LinkedIn feed to show more relevant content related to GCP, Terraform, DevOps, and front-end development, follow these steps:

  1. Follow hashtags: Search for relevant hashtags like #GCP, #Terraform, #DevOps, #FrontEndDevelopment, etc. and follow them. This will help surface more content related to your areas of interest in your feed.

  2. Follow thought leaders and influencers: Identify and follow thought leaders, influencers, and experts in GCP, Terraform, DevOps, and front-end development. You can search for their names or browse through the "People Also Viewed" section on their profiles to find more individuals to follow.

  3. Join relevant groups: Search for and join LinkedIn groups focused on GCP, Terraform, DevOps, and front-end development. Participating in these groups will not only show you more relevant content in your feed, but also provide opportunities to engage with like-minded professionals.

  4. Follow companies and organizations: Follow companies, organizations, or even official accounts of the tools and technologies you're interested in, such as Google Cloud, HashiCorp (for Terraform), and popular front-end development frameworks.

  5. Engage with relevant content: When you come across content related to your interests, make sure to like, comment, and share. This signals to LinkedIn's algorithm that you're interested in this type of content and helps surface more of it in your feed.

  6. Customize your feed preferences: Click on the three dots (ellipsis) in the top right corner of a post in your feed and select "Improve my feed." This will give you the option to follow more topics, people, and companies that align with your interests. You can also unfollow or hide content from specific individuals or topics that are not relevant to your current interests.

By following these steps, you'll gradually see more relevant content in your LinkedIn feed, giving you the opportunity to engage with professionals and potential clients in your target market.
